Randy Janoski, “the consummate sideman” began playing saxophone around the age of 10 in France. By 12 he was sitting in with jazz artists in Orleans and Paris. As a teenager Randy played with several band from the mid 60s to early 70s including The Lancers, The Majestics, The Heard, Northwest Passage and The Flock. He did session work with Stax in Memphis and then moved with others to Muscle Shoals. As a studio musician with Columbia (Nashville) he recalls “I was so fortunate, and did not realize it at the time, to play with in the studio and be sent out on the road with so many great artists like Perry Como, Brenda Lee, Tony Bennett, Kitty Wells, Johnny Mathis, Mel Tormé and many others. While in the military Randy played with the U.S. Army Band Europe and the Bicentennial Jazz Band.

Through the 80’s and 90’s Randy played solo or with sections for a wide variety of artists groups and bands. Playing for or sharing the stage with The Swing Kings, Herbie Phillips' Las Vegas Hilton Band, Sassy, The Kentucky Troubadours, Dottie West & Kenny Rogers, Hank Williams Jr., The KC Jazz Masters and others.

Randy’s residence is outside of Nashville Tennessee. He plays soprano, tenor, alto and flute. Attended Austin Peay and the Music University of Baden-Württemberg (State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart). Randy stays active playing with his quintet Randy Janoski Quintet (that also performs as a quartet), The Heard a 10 piece horn band, the "Music City Horns" (a four piece recording and touring horn section), books out with various artists as a featured sax player and does studio sessions in Nashville and in Muscle Shoals.
